Description:
Finding our center- Treble-clef position.

We are the actors to our play. Just as the treble is the guiding persona, the stave of the musical sheet is our center stage. The songs and ambience to all that we do are composed of little notes like that on sheet music. They are sensitive to our everyday reactions and encounters. The melody of our life song may suddenly become a symphony whose outcome can only ever be brought to fruition with our own interpretation, thus our attitudes affect the tone of our lives. Self care and love can guide us through all the facets of life and encourage us to live out our breathtaking moments, if we give them a listen.

Thoughts:
The song “Once upon a time there was you and me” by Yuki Kajiura, from the animated series: Tsubasa Chronicle is a perfect summary and inspiration for this work. It is composed with a sense of adventure, turmoil and emotional spectrum of our beings. Feathers are the center motif of the show- searching for what is lost, and what can be found in our discovery, like a lost note, we are on a course to gather a part of selves .

While there are many weapons floating what appears to be randomly, there are also a few that are arranged vertically next to each other like the staff on a music sheet: there is one set expressed in swords, and another as arrows. The peacock feathers are outspread notes, flowing where they want as an ever-dynamic melody. The peacock encompasses the Self; the spiritual persona that is in all of us, who wishes to express a love for the world. In that we are all one. Swords are a regular motif in my work. An expression of the lowercase t- our subjective truth as opposed to the capital T, the all encompassing grand idea: Truth. A principle in philosophy, spiritual and theological discussion.

Clef is used in music to determine the pitch of notes on a staff. Treble clef denotes the high range of this and is often associated with the melody and higher voice instruments, such as the violin, flute and soprano voice.

Spec:
