Description:
The Hymn is the excited sounds of the wind as it whistles over a hollowed oak tethered among it’s kin, and the rustling of thousands of branches in the treetop.

The Hymn is in the ambiance of the ocean, cerulean currents rolling grains of sand. The stardust among the watery night throughout all of time.

The Hymn cracks with thunder followed by the brilliance of lightning: the crescendo of the storm among the billowing clouds.

The Hymn sparks when fireflies serenade the world upon a midsummer's night. It is the consonance of the warm evenings and thrill of the freshness of nature in the darkness.

The Hymn pours into our own streams of consciousness. Our brains filter out inputs in order to properly process the most important stimuli. What you choose to focus on becomes integral to your experience of The Hymn and the basis for your participation. The Hymn becomes a muse to its own composition.

The Hymn centers on the Musica Universalis, music of our sphere”, which is the beautiful interactions of our universe. It is both audible and silent while celestial bodies dance among themselves in a physical rhythm guided by the beauty of harmony and mathematics. For those open to the universe, The Hymn may result in your own spiritual concepts. Ever present in our collective realities, yet only when we slow down and are receptive to the hints will it be revealed.

Thoughts:
Sound fascinates me on many levels. Our world rotates in harmony with all the celestial siblings, causing the splashing of ocean tides, turbulence of wind, and the breezy melody of the forest songs. These are the songs of our world.

All in harmony, like a hymn. Singing to our worldly parent's praise. When I paint, I think of how blessed we are to be in this symphony, teaming with chaotic life.

Further reading of Musica Universalis( popularised by Johannes Kepler) and Stream of consciousness(coined by Alexander Bain ) is encouraged.
